Welcome to the Web Site of Mark Templeton & New Vision

Mark Templeton & New Vision is an up and coming Bluegrass Gospel group from High Point, NC. The group was formed in 1989 when they began to sing in local churches. Their "Southern Gospel" style harmony, along with solid bluegrass instumentation, give them a sound that has gained attention across the country.

Traveling over 100 dates a year to churches, festivals & family music halls, Mark Templeton & New Vision strive to give their best no matter how large or small the crowd.

Throughout the years the group has performed with Third Tyme Out, Ralph Stanley, The Country Gentlemen, The Issacs, The Reno Brothers, Lost & Found, The Larkin Family, Raymond Fairchild and many other favorites.......

We are now booking for 2002

Mark Templeton

Mark Templeton grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains picking and singing with his family. For over 20 years he traveled throughout the United States playing and singing all types of music from country, rock, and Gospel. He plays piano, guitar, bass, steel guitar and banjo. Finally in 1990 he came home to his roots, "Bluegrass Gospel". He now plays banjo & guitar with the group and sings lead, baritone and low tenor. He is married and has a 10 year old daughter, Kelsey. They attend Green Street Baptist Church in High Point NC.

Leonard Harvell

Leonard Harvell has been a member of the group since the beginning. For 35 years Leonard has been involved in Southern Gospel music. Traveling the East Coast with some of the finest quartets, has given him years of expierence singing the "high" tenor part. Leonard is always one of the favorites at all of our concerts and people seem to be blessed from his "giving spirit". He has been married to his wife Donna for 35 years and they live in Oakboro, NC.

Butch Moore

Butch Moore has been playing with Mark for 30 years. They grew up together in Virginia where they learned many valuable lessons from Marks dad. Butch plays guitar and sings lead and baritone and is the sound technician at the concerts and in the studio. He is also one of the drivers of the bus. He is married to his wife Norma and they live in High Point NC.

Tim Goins

Tim Goins plays dobro and sings that "high lonesome" sound. He has been with the group for 3 years and has quickly become one of the family. He has written hundreds of songs which are some of the favorites at our concerts. He is also a great banjo player. Tim is a very humble person and the Lord has blessed him with many talents. He is married to Amy and they live in Mount Airy NC. (He can talk just like Earnest T. Bass)

John Fogleman

John Fogleman is one of the top bass players on the East Coast. He has over 100 awards that he has won at conventions throughout North Carolina & Virginia. He plays many differnt styles which enables him to adapt to just about any song the group wants to perform.
